John Fulton, President for the SCA, has announced that a report from his office is now available on the SCA website. This report contains the publishable summaries and commendation sections from each Society Officer’s reports, as well as publishable summaries submitted by various Board committees.

Greetings Citizens of Brokenbridge,

Brokenbridge Commons will be this April 4th, at 11:30am. Originally we were going to have the meeting at my place in Ditmas Park, but we will now be doing it virtually. I will be hosting a Google Hangouts meeting for us all. I look forward to seeing and hearing you all from a distance!

I will be signing on at 10:30am to make sure everything works and having a little bit of a hang out before the meeting at 11:30.

Broken Bridge April 2019 Commons

Greetings from your Minister of Arts & Sciences of Broken Bridge!

Our next Canton meeting will be April 14th, 2019 at 11 AM. We’ll be hosting the meeting at Brandr’s AKA Charlie Spickler’s – 3208 Farragut rd, Brooklyn NY 11210.

Our meeting will commence at 11 AM followed by an Arts & Sciences class at 12 PM. We encourage anyone and everyone to come! Food and beverages will be available for consumption.

There is a dog and a cat in residence.

For our Arts & Sciences class the wonderful Charlie AKA Brandr will be teaching the basics of sausage making! Come to fulfill your meat making desires.

DIRECTIONS:

Coming from the North:
Take the 678/Hutchinson River Parkway to Jackie Robinson Parkway. Drive the Jackie Robinson Parkway to the end and merge on to East New York Ave heading west. Turn left on to Nostrand Ave. Drive down Nostrand Ave and take a left when you reach Farragut Road. The house is just after 32nd St and Farragut Road.

Coming from Manhattan:
Take the Manhattan Bridge to Brooklyn and drive down Flatbush Avenue. Continue down Flatbush Ave until you reach Farragut road, then take a left. The house is just after 32nd St and Farragut Road.

Coming by public transport:
Take the 2 to Newkirk Avenue Station. Walk south to Farragut Rd and turn left. The house is just after 32nd St and Farragut Road.

Commons and Bias tape class 3/10

Greetings from your Minister of Arts & Sciences of Broken Bridge!

Our next officers meeting will be March 10th, 2019 at 11 AM. We’ll be hosting the meeting at Brandr’s AKA Charlie Spickler – 3208 Farragut rd, Brooklyn NY 11210. For our Arts & Sciences class the wonderful Norana Cantrell will be teaching ‘Making Bias Tape from Scrap Fabric’. If you’ve got scrap and need a way to make them useful, bias tape may be the answer!

No BrokenBridge Commons in Jan

Due to scheduling conflicts, we have to cancel BrokenBridge commons in Jan, as well as the accompanying A&S.

We will reschedule the next commons for sometime in February as well as the A&S class on making bias tape out of your fabric scraps.

BrokenBridge Commons and Lucet class 11/11 at 11am

This Sunday, 11/11 will be Broken Bridge Commons and A&S class. This is an important commons because we will be doing our bi-annual confirming officers, as well as reviewing and updating the BrokenBridge administrative documents which can be found here (https://brokenbridge.eastkingdom.org/forms/)

Doors open at 11am. Commons starts at 11:30am. A&S class, which will cover beginning lucet, taught by Alienor Salton, begins at 12pm. As always, there will be brunch and bacon.

There is an overly friendly dog and fluffy cat in residence.
